Justin is a breath of fresh air in the subcontractor world. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and making sure we were prepared for the process. He went out of his way to expedite our process as best as he could (up against the constraint of a permit). We were thrilled to have found him and relieved to have a thorough, actual professional working at our house. Structural engineering was checked and the whole-nine. Connor did our window installation and was very communicative and kind from start to finish. We had existing rock and weed barrier around the window area and he replaced it all, perfectly. You couldn't tell that he had been there. We did have an issue where our internet cable was accidentally cut, but that's because Xfinity failed to disclose it on the locate services and reported that nothing was there. We feel that Justin and Connor did a wonderful job informing us and repairing the line so that it was easy for Xfinity to repair. Justin and team did an awesome job on our egress window! We had an existing basement window well that we converted to an egress. Not only were they thorough in the work done, they also were great at communicating throughout the process. Even with a weather delay, the work got done efficiently and ahead of our desired completion date. The pricing felt fair and the result is fantastic. We had one of our downstairs windows replaced with an egress window by Justin and his crew: Ivan and Jacque. Justin And his wife, Lisa were excellent communicators in Planning the date of the construction and letting us know if there was any changes or delays beforehand so that we could figure out a plan. I work out of my home doing Acupuncture and Justin and Lisa were extremely respectful in planning the work to be done around my work schedule as to not disrupt patients. The work that was done was done meticulously and the final product was impressive and well worth the cost. I am including some before and after photos. The window wells were rusted out and one was close to a post so they had to work closely with my paver contractor to remove the cement so the window well could be replaced. Had all four of our wells replaced by Kruse over the past several years. 2 of the 4 were upgraded to egress 36" depth. The crew is efficient and cleaned up the area well when done. If you are deciding between different companies to replace a window well, do yourself a favor and choose Basement Windows of Denver. A little over a year ago, I needed a rusted window well replaced at a rental property. The owner, Justin Kruse, provided a quick and professional bid. In the end, I chose to hire their competitor. Partly because Basement Windows of Denver was a little more expensive but mostly because they recommended removing a small area of nearby cement to accommodate a wider well. That sounded a bit daunting and considering it is a rental property I thought I was making the right choice. That was not the right choice. Within a year, the competitor's well began to rust. When I contacted them, they blamed the issue on flooding and refused to help. I called Justin back, and he was happy to take my call and explain everything in great detail, he even performed a second site meeting to investigate. He ran a test that clearly showed that the rusting was caused by electrolysis because the well was not wide enough, causing the bolts to hit the rebar in the foundation. Basement Windows of Denver honored their original bid from a year and a half ago despite price increases. Their crew was efficient and remarkably clean. They tested the new well for electrolysis and provided a guarantee that if the well ever rusts again, they will replace it for free. They have a very detailed proposal with a lifetime warranty and just operate like true professionals. We had a window well that had been filling with water and causing flooding in our basement for years. When I connected with Justin from Basement Windows of Denver, he looked through our pictures, and immediately called out other areas that we should fix first (gutters, the water supply to the house, etc.). I appreciated that rather than tallying up more things that he could charge us for, he instead wanted us to really fix the issue at hand (the basement flooding), even if that was work outside of his company. You don't find that with every company/contractor, which is one reason I would recommend them if you need similar work done. After we addressed some of the other issues, we went back to Justin and Basement Windows of Denver to get our window well replaced, and regrade the front of the house by it. The crew that did the work was diligent (no broken sprinkler lines), timely, and communicated with us leading up to the project. Since the work has been done, we've had heavy rains in May/June, and had no water in the window well. I highly recommend Basement Windows of Denver if you need window well/regrading work done.
