What to Expect/Step by Step Egress Window Project Management Process and Guide

From start to finish you will find that communication and superior customer service and craftsmanship are our first priority in the egress window installation process.
You will never be left guessing as we will be there every step of the way to assist and guide you through the process.

1) Initial Phone Conversation or Request Quote Online

The first step is to call us at 303-955-2969. At that time we will go over basics and answer any initial questions you may have. An estimate of your project cost will be given at this time, as well as educating you on what to expect during construction, a timeline and scheduling. The estimate given over the phone will be the final cost in most cases, provided we have all of the accurate information. If the job is of the larger scope and includes custom upgrades and special circumstances, a ballpark cost will be provided over the phone and an accurate estimate will be provided after the onsite proposal.

Information we need to provide an initial egress window estimate include; year of home, city the home is in, if there is an existing window, finished or unfinished basement, possible exterior obstructions, the size of egress window that you want, and any upgrades or additional options.

➢ The average lead time from the 1st phone call to the actual work is 4-6 weeks; during peak seasons the schedule fills very quickly and sometimes the lead time can be much longer.

➢ If timing is of the essence for you, we can pre-schedule the work with no obligation to you.

➢ Your project will remain on our schedule until you’ve had a chance to review the formal proposal, which is provided after the onsite consultation.

➢ Once you’ve had a chance to review the proposal you will have at least 48 hours to decide if you would like to hire Basement Windows of Denver and remain on the schedule.

2) Onsite Consultation

An onsite assessment by Justin Kruse, the owner of Basement Windows of Denver by Kruse Construction will be scheduled within 5 working days. We will give you all of the information you need to make an informed decision including; options, possible complications, time line etc.

3) Formal Proposal

If you would like to move forward, simply print, sign, scan, and email the proposal back to us to confirm your project on our schedule.

We will take steps to cover and protect your home from excessive dirt and debris. The egress window(s) will be completely installed and ready for inspection.

7) Day #3- Inspection & Interior Trim

Once the Building department does an inspection, we will complete the egress window project by installing the interior trim (if applicable).
